02EdTech / Creator Marketplace / Knowledge Economy

Scholr

Learn. Earn. Thrive. A global knowledge economy platform.

Scholr is where students discover world-class creators, follow community pages, join study groups and earn rewards as they learn — and where creators teach, build community and earn across eight income paths. One platform for the entire knowledge economy.

Scope delivered

  • Web application (v1 & v2 upgrade)
  • Marketing website
  • Native mobile apps (iOS & Android)
  • Product design

The challenge

Teaching, consulting, selling content and building an audience normally require four or five disconnected tools, each taking a cut and none sharing an audience. Scholr needed a single ecosystem where knowledge can be taught, booked, sold, assessed and rewarded globally — safe enough for parents, flexible enough for professional creators.

Product strategy

Treat education as a creator economy rather than a course catalogue. Supply is creators, practitioners and institutions; demand is students, parents and organisations; and the platform provides the commerce, community and reward layers between them. Students pay only for what they use — no subscriptions — while creators pick from eight income paths and scale into more over time.

User experience

Distinct journeys for scholrs, parents, creators and venue hosts sharing one design system across web and mobile. Students search any subject, skill, sport or passion, follow channels and hubs, join or create study groups and earn recognition as they progress. Parents get vetted creators, transparent pricing, a moderated environment and visibility of sessions and progress. Creators run live sessions with video, screen sharing, whiteboards and chat, then publish courses and digital products from the same dashboard.

Technology solution

Marketplace architecture with multi-currency commerce, live streaming and session tooling, an integrated LMS with assessments, a gamified rewards engine, community infrastructure and affiliate tracking. Delivered as a web application, a marketing website and native mobile apps — with version 2 upgrading the web app, rebuilding the public website and extending the ecosystem onto native iOS and Android.

Outcome

Scholr is live with a growing creator community — the platform publicly reports 1,500+ creators and 1,000+ scholrs — spanning academics, music, code, business, wellness and sport, with version 2 extending the ecosystem across web and native mobile.
